The Moffatt-Ladd House was the largest house in the area in 1764 when it was first occupied. One of its unique features is its historic grand garden painstakingly  maintained by our master gardeners and dedicated volunteers. Our tour guides manifest their knowledge of history and their passion for the museum. Whether you are spending an hour, an afternoon, or having your wedding in our garden or authentic post and beam warehouse, you will find peaceful respite from the bustling town of Portsmouth in our hidden sanctuary.
