A National Historic Landmark open to the public since 1912
We are very excited about our current projects! If you would like to contribute to these, please indicate this when you make your gift. The Parlor restoration project is our latest restoration effort and will result in the total transformation of the space back to its appearance during the period of the American Revolution. Our other project that brings this era back to life is our high school initiative "Exploring the Issue of Slavery in the Era of the American Revolution." You can read about both projects on the website and in our newsletters which are posted on the News page and the Friends of the M-L page.

We are constantly in need of contributions to help with our ongoing restoration projects and for our educational programs. As with any old house, maintenance and repair projects are always constant. While we have been able to paint and restore many aspects of our buildlings with generous support, we always need to maintain the buildings and structures, and surprises often lie in wait. Currently, we are embarking on restoring the Parlor of the house to the 1780s. Structural repairs have been made but plaster repair and paiting is currently underway. In the spring or summer of 2018, red flocked wallpaper will be produced and hung, and we're seeking to fulfill our furnishing plan to better match our colleciton to what the Moffatts and Whipples had in the Parlor in the first decades they occupied the house. In order to complete this project, we need your generous support. Information on how to donate is below.
